My name is Carrie, and I am a senior student majoring in jewelry. Before I went abroad, I was inspired by my father's work ethic. Watching him spend 8 to 9 hours a day at the work table, repairing watches and changing ring sizes, taught me the importance of focus and patience. With over 40 years of experience, my father instilled in me the value of mastering one's craft.

During my 11th grade year, I began to consider my university major and became drawn to the field of jewelry design. I am especially passionate about the combination of texture and shape, and I find diamonds to be particularly captivating. With a goal in mind to become a jewelry designer, I designed my first earring in 12th grade, which I named Earring Uranus. The design was inspired by the seventh planet from the sun and the square-cut diamond, which has a more powerful shape than the circular cut diamond. The finished product was my own original design, which earned me a certificate. The earring is made of sterling silver and set with diamonds, and can be worn in two forms.

Since then, I have continued to innovate and improve my craft. From perfecting my portfolio to gaining admission into a jewelry major at university, I have developed a passion for welding and gemology. Through continuous learning, I am eager to expand my experience and knowledge of the industry.
